We offered a variety of savings and loan products to our membership as well as Direct Deposit, Payroll Deduction, Debit Cards, VISA Classic and Platinum Credit Cards, Traveler's Cheques, Savings Bonds, and Money Orders. Check out our Loan Services which include New and Used Vehicle Loans, Personal Loans, Mortgages, Re-Finances, Home Equity Lines of Credit, as well as Share Secured Loans.

OUR HISTORY - 70 YEARS OF PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE

On December 23, 1935, ten employees from Matteawan State Hospital petitioned the Governor of the Farm Credit Administration (now known as the National Credit Union Administration) for the opportunity to form a financial cooperative. Fourteen membership shares were purchased for $5.00 a piece and the Matteawan State Hospital Employees Federal Credit Union was established.

Matteawan Federal is a not-for-profit financial institution that is owned and operated by its members. We provide our members with a safe and sound institution to save and borrow at reasonable and affordable rates. A volunteer board for directors elected by the members manages our Credit Union.

To join Matteawan Federal, you must be eligible for membership. If you work at Fishkill Correctional, Downstate, Beacon Correctional, Green Haven, Mid - Orange, Taconic State Parks, Division for Youth, Tallix Morris Singer, American Alarm, City of Beacon, or are a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Mid Hudson Lodge #188, you may become a member.
