Northern Corridor Community Federal Credit Union, formally Ayerst Employees Federal Credit Union was established in 1952 to serve employees of Ayerst McKenna and Harrison Ltd. who worked in Rouses Point; the employees of this credit union; members of their immediate families; and organizations of such persons were eligible for membership.

In 1961, our charter read "The field of membership shall be limited to those having the following common bond: employees of Ayerst Labratories, Inc.; the employees of this credit union; members of their immediate families; and organizations of such persons."

In 1970, our charter read "The field of membership shall be limited to those having the following common bond: employees of Ayerst Labratories, Inc. in Rouses Point, NY and Chazy, NY; the employees of this credit union; members of their immediate families; and organizations of such persons."

In an effort to provide expanded services and future growth your Board made several important decisions. In November 2004, the credit union's Board of Directors made the decision to expand our charter. We are pleased to announce an amendment to our charter and bylaws from a single sponsor charter to a community charter; effective May 13, 2005.

Take advantage of our Home Banking and Bill Paying services provided by Virtual Branch®. These services are available from any computer 24 hours 7 days a week. Home Banking services are $2.00 per month and add Bill PayIt for a total fee of $5.00 per month.

AlertMe

Northern Corridor Community Federal Credit Union is excited to announce AlertMe, a new credit-monitoring service designed to help members fight identity theft, which is a growing problem that affects millions of Americans. AlertMe gives early warning of activity on your credit report. Since credit report activity can be a sign of possible identity theft, early detection can help you catch problems quickly to minimize losses.

AlertMe monitors your Experian credit file daily. New accounts, credit cards over the credit limit, and address changes are just a few of the items AlertMe monitors. If an activity occurs, AlertMe will send you an email alerting you to the activity. You can log into the AlertMe Web site to read details about the activity and determine if it is suspicious. AlertMe will also send an email to remind you to order your annual free credit reports.

College students have access to Northern Corridor Community FCU at the touch of their fingers…

Our “College Comfort Kits” offer students and parents the convenience and financial independence by having a:

• Share Draft/Checking account
• VISA Check Card
• VISA Credit Card ($500 limit - parent or legal guardian as a cosigner is required) - This helps your student begin establishing credit too!

Having a parent joint on the Share Draft/Checking account allows them access to the account to be able to do inquiries, make transfers, deposits and withdrawals.
